Black garlic is aged and fermented for use in both sweet and savory dishes and desserts. The aging process, which involves controlled heat and humidity over several weeks, transforms the garlic's texture and taste. The garlic cloves soften, develop a black color, and acquire a sweet, slightly tangy, and umami-rich flavor, which is often compared to balsamic vinegar, molasses, or dates.  

Black garlic has increased levels of certain antioxidants due to the aging process. It contains S-Allyl Cysteine (SAC), which may enhance the absorption of allicin, a compound found in garlic.

Melissahof garlic is all-naturally grown without synthetic chemicals.
